NordenPark was originally an 80-acre industrial site with a 650,000 square foot industrial building built in the 1960s. SREP bought the building in 2002 and renovated the exterior skin, landscaping, and interior infrastructure. Northrup Grumman Systems occupies approximately 400,000 square feet and an additional 125,000 square feet has been leased to a mixture of small commercial and light industrial tenants. Two successful zoning amendments were passed to allow 30% commercial use and educational use. Development cost for the building renovation was $20 million. The building was sold for $87 million in 2005. The unoccupied 40-acre land parcel is being master planned for a zone change to allow residential housing.
